  • This 250 GT (S/N 2119GT) was bought by Ross Brawn in 2014 for £5.4million.

This car won the TT at Goodwood in 1960 at the hands of Stirling Moss, as well as the Redec at Brands Hatch and the Tourist Trophy at Nassau. It was then driven by Mike Parkes in 1961, taking another 3 victories, 2 at Snetterton and 1 during the Fordwater Trophy.

The car itself was restored in the mid-80's by DK Engineering, where it then passed into the hands of Paul Vestey, who ran the car in various events until it changed hands again in 2003, and then again in 2012 until being bought by Ross Brawn in 2014.

This is the second 250 GT Short Wheelbase owned by Ross Brawn, the other example not having quite so famous a history.
