  • This particular 250 LM (S/N 6119) was originally purchased in 1964 by the Swiss racing team Scuderia Filipinetti and entered into the 1000km Paris that same year where the car did not finish. It then competed in 6 events in the 65 season before ownership passed over to Pierre de Siebenthal, who painted the bottom half of the car white.

In 1967 the car was fitted with the long nose, but was then damaged in an accident, and retired from active service. The car passed through a number of collectors hands, including Anthony Bamford and Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa before being aquired by Damazein Auto dEpoca in 2012.

I didn't see this car running at the Revival, and it isn't listed in the programme, so it could well be that it is now used for concours events only (it has appeared at Pebble Beach a number of times).

The car be seen (very briefly) in this youtube vide (around the 8:10 mark) - www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8aC6NatwrE

And the reason for it no longer being actively raced maybe due to its value, see this auction of a similar car at Monterey Car Week - www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8aC6NatwrE
